Chapter 275

"Yes," Evelyn Hartley admitted without hesitation.

Nathan Black's piercing gaze narrowed as he demanded, "Why? What's your game here? Why would you post those photos?"

Evelyn's laugh was sharp, laced with mockery. "Oh, Mr. Reeves, how amusing. You sent them to me. What I do with them is my choice. I assumed you wanted the world to see your cousinโ€™s little indiscretions. I was simply helping your cause."

Her voice dripped with sarcasm, each word deliberate.

Nathanโ€™s expression twisted in fury, his jaw tightening. But Evelyn remained unshaken, stepping forward with icy composure.

Caught off guard, Nathan instinctively took half a step back.

Evelyn tilted her chin up, meeting his glare with a frosty stare of her own. "I warned Serena Cole to stay away from my husband. She chose to ignore me. So tell meโ€”why should I show her mercy? If sheโ€™s so desperate to be the other woman, then let the world see exactly what she is."

Nathanโ€™s face darkened as her words sank in. He had sent those photos to drive a wedge between Evelyn and Nathan, never imagining sheโ€™d weaponize them so publicly. The fallout would be disastrousโ€”for Serena, for Nathanโ€™s reputation, for everything.

A muscle twitched in his jaw. "Youโ€™re playing with fire."

Evelynโ€™s lips curled into a cold smile. "And youโ€™ve underestimated me for the last time, Dylan. Push me again, and I wonโ€™t hold back."

She turned to leave, but Nathan grabbed her arm. "Wait!" His voice was rough with urgency. "Take those photos down. Now."

Evelyn arched a brow, unfazed. "Why would I? The world deserves to see them."

His grip tightened. "Think about Nathan! Do you really want to humiliate him like this?"

Her laugh was bitter. "Why should I care about his reputation?" Had Nathan ever considered her feelings when he was sneaking around with Serena?

Nathan faltered, stunned by her callousness.

Before he could respond, Evelyn wrenched free and strode away. He watched her go, his expression darkening into something dangerous.

At Black Enterprises, a knock sounded on the CEOโ€™s office door.

"Come in," Nathan called.

Walter Kingsley, his assistant, entered with a grim expression. He placed a tablet on the desk.

"Sir, you need to see this."
