Chapter 238
Nathan's expression darkened as he studied the photo in his hands.
Could it be that Alexander Prescott also had feelings for Evelyn?
The mere thought sent a surge of irritation through him.
Without hesitation, he forwarded the photo to Dylan, along with a sharp message:
"Guess who I just spotted at The Velvet Lounge tonight. Not sure whatโs going on, but Alexander and Evelyn seem awfully cozy. Any idea whatโs happening between them?"
After hitting send, Nathan tossed his phone onto the coffee table with a frustrated sigh.
Meanwhile, Evelyn fell silent at Alexanderโs question.
After a long pause, she finally nodded. "Yes. My decision is final."

With a sharp exhale, Dylan slammed his phone onto his desk.
His pulse roared in his ears.
Minutes stretched into hours.
By the time the clock struck eleven, Nathan could no longer resist the urge to call her.
The line rang endlessly before she finally picked up.
"What do you want?" Evelynโs voice was ice.
"What time are you coming home?" Nathan demanded, his tone low and rough.
"Thatโs none of your concern, Mr. Black," she shot back.
Thenโbefore he could respondโshe hung up.
Nathan stared at his phone, fury burning through him.
How dare she?
