Chapter 176

Julian Montgomery had indeed considered that possibility.

Alexander Whitmore took a sip of his tea. Though I have full custody, the agreement explicitly states she can see Sophia whenever she wishesโ€”no restrictions apply.

That surprised Julian.

Just then, both children glanced their way, so they dropped the subject.

Alexander abruptly changed topics. I heard youโ€™ve been in talks with YodaVision recently?

Julian hesitated. Yes. Then he countered, What about you? Not interested?

Alexander shrugged. Havenโ€™t decided yet. Thereโ€™s still timeโ€”no need to rush.

Julian gave a noncommittal hum.

Isabella Sinclair still hadnโ€™t finished her thesis.

After working on it relentlessly for a day and a half, she met Emily Donovan for dinner Sunday evening. They wandered aimlessly for over two hours before heading home.

A quiet, productive, and entirely uninterrupted weekend slipped by just like that.

Monday arrived, and Isabella returned to YodaVision as usual.

From that day onward, those who had previously called Nathaniel Graves to discuss potential collaborations began showing up in person, proposals in hand.

Dominic Fairchild arrived on Thursday.

Coincidentally, Nathaniel was away on a business trip that day.

When Isabella got the news, she set aside her work and headed straight to the meeting room.

As the door opened, Dominic rose to his feet. But when he saw only Isabella enter, his expression faltered slightly.

Isabella extended her hand politely. Mr. Fairchild, Iโ€™m Isabella Sinclair. Nathaniel is currently away on business.

Iโ€™m handling all company matters in his absence. Anything youโ€™d like to discuss can be directed to meโ€”itโ€™s the same.

Handling everything in his stead? In what capacity? As Nathanielโ€™s girlfriend?

Dominic wasnโ€™t sure if she was telling the truth or simply asserting her influence over Nathaniel.

Even if she was being honest, their proposal contained highly technical content and specialized jargon. Would she even understand it?

More absurdly, despite knowing this was a business discussion, she hadnโ€™t even brought a technical expert with herโ€”sheโ€™d come alone.

That said, Nathaniel did seem to hold her in high regard.

With that in mind, Dominic decided not to make a scene, even if he doubted her comprehension.

He shook her hand briefly. Then Iโ€™ll have to trouble you, Ms. Sinclair.

He sat back down and slid a document across the table. This is our companyโ€™s proposal. Please take a look.

Isabella accepted it. Of course. Iโ€™ll review it now.

Just as she opened the file, one of Nathanielโ€™s secretaries knocked and entered, whispering in her ear, Ms. Sinclair, there are visitors downstairsโ€”Reginald and Victoria Kensington. Should I have them wait in your office?

No need, Isabella cut in softly. Send them away.

Understood.

Once the secretary left, Isabella apologized to Dominic before turning her full attention to the proposal.

As she read, she noted that while Dominic had arrived later than others, his confidence was justified. His proposal was thorough, aligning almost perfectly with her requirements.

She appeared entirely focused, as if she genuinely grasped every detail.

If this was an act, Dominic wouldnโ€™t call her out. He wasnโ€™t in a hurry, after all.

Over half an hour later, Isabella set the document down. Mr. Fairchild, your proposal is highly compatible with our companyโ€™s needs. Weโ€™ll give it serious consideration.

Dominic had no intention of discussing this further with Isabellaโ€”heโ€™d wait for Nathanielโ€™s return.

But outwardly, he remained courteous. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to potential collaboration.
