Chapter 151

Alright.

Isabella Sinclair returned to the Sinclair estate for lunch on Saturday morning. She asked Charles about the new project.

Once she confirmed everything was running smoothly, she finally relaxed.

By 2:00 PM, she drove to the campsite.

Julian Montgomery and Lily had just arrived as well.

Julianโ€™s team was already setting up the tents and prepping the grill.

Snow had been falling for days, blanketing the mountains in thick white layers.

The moment she stepped out of the car, Lily tugged at her sleeve excitedly. "Letโ€™s build a snowman!"

Isabella had built snowmen with Sophia before.

So, it wasnโ€™t difficult for her.

Soon, they finished a small, lopsided snowman.

Lily had even brought a scarf for it. Once they were done, she asked the helpers to fetch the carrot and scarf sheโ€™d packed.

Julian approached her.

Isabella stayed silent.

He crouched beside her. "So, youโ€™re working at YodaVision now?"

She smoothed the snowmanโ€™s round head. "Yes."

He remembered how coldly sheโ€™d dismissed Alexander and Victoria at InnovaTech. Like sheโ€™d already moved on. "When did you start?"

"A while ago."

He wanted to ask more, but her tone made it clear she wasnโ€™t interested. So, he changed the subject. "Just five times total."

She paused. He was referring to the five outings sheโ€™d promised Lily.

"Okay," she agreed.

Lily returned with two scarves. She wanted to build a bigger snowman beside the small oneโ€”like them, one tall, one short. She even pulled Julian into helping.

He complied without protest.

When the larger snowman was done, Lily insisted on photos with both of them.

Julian took out his phone. Through the screen, he watched Isabellaโ€™s rare, genuine smile and snapped several shots.

Time flew by in laughter and snow. By the time they finished, dusk had settled. The scent of grilled meat filled the air, and the tents glowed warmly against the darkening sky.

"Hungry?" Julian asked.

She nodded.

He handed her a skewer.

The campsite buzzed with winter campers. Though not overcrowded, the energy was lively. A bonfire party was scheduled for later.

"Want to check it out?"

"Sure."

Just as Julian was about to reply, his phone rang.

Oliver Westbrook.

He stepped away to answer.

"Drinks tonight?" Oliver said.

"Pass. You go ahead."

"Whyโ€”"

Lily dashed over with another skewer. "Uncle Julian! This oneโ€™s for you!"

He bent down to take it.

Oliver heard her voice. "Youโ€™re grilling?"

"Yeah."

"Where?"

"Out," Julian said flatly. "Camping."

"Damn, thatโ€™s perfect! Snow, camping, bonfireโ€”why didnโ€™t I think of that?" Oliver paused. "Wait, you went without us?"

"Iโ€™ll invite you next time."

"Hold onโ€”Lilyโ€™s there, right? Where exactly? Iโ€™ll come. Better yet, Iโ€™ll tell Alexander. We can allโ€”"

"Gotta go," Julian interrupted, hanging up before Oliver could finish.
